Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ArenaFlux, AFX tokens, and competitive gaming.
General Questions
What is ArenaFlux?
+
ArenaFlux is a decentralized gaming platform that lets players stake AFX cryptocurrency in competitive matches and tournaments. Winners receive prize pools instantly via smart contracts, with transparent fee splits between players and the platform.
What is AFX?
+
AFX is the native cryptocurrency of the ArenaFlux platform. You use AFX tokens to enter tournaments, compete for prizes, and participate in future governance decisions. AFX can be traded on decentralized exchanges and staked for rewards.
When is ArenaFlux launching?
+
Closed beta is planned for Q1 2026. Public mainnet launch with real prizes is targeted for Q2 2026. Check our roadmap for detailed phase timelines.
Is ArenaFlux currently live?
+
Not yet. We're in the development phase. Join the waitlist to get early access to closed beta testing and be among the first to compete when mainnet launches.
Playing & Tournaments
How do I enter a tournament?
+
To enter a tournament, you'll need AFX tokens in your wallet. Simply select the tournament, confirm the entry fee (typically $5 USD worth of AFX), and join the match. Your AFX will be held in escrow until results are verified and prizes distributed.
What games will ArenaFlux support?
+
We're launching with CS2 and Warzone, then expanding to League of Legends, Valorant, Dota 2, Fighting games, Sports games, and many more. See our Games page for the full list and launch dates.
How does skill-based matching work?
+
Players are matched against opponents of similar AFX rankings to ensure balanced, competitive matches. Your ranking increases when you win tournaments and decreases slightly with losses, similar to traditional rating systems.
Can I play with friends?
+
Yes! For team-based games like CS2, you can create a team and invite friends to play together. Team tournaments require coordinated entry and share the prize pool among team members.
How are tournament results verified?
+
Our SDK integrates directly with game servers to verify match results. This prevents cheating and ensures accurate prize distribution. All results are recorded on-chain for permanent verification.
Prizes & Payments
How are prizes distributed?
+
Smart contracts automatically verify match results and distribute prizes within seconds. Winners receive AFX tokens directly to their wallets—no waiting, no manual processing. All transactions are recorded on-chain.
What's the prize pool split?
+
For team tournaments, winners receive 80% of the pool and the platform keeps 20%. For solo battle royales, it's typically 40% (1st), 20% (2nd), 10% (3rd), and 30% platform. Different tournament formats may have different splits.
When do I get paid?
+
Instantly! Once match results are verified by our SDK, the smart contract automatically distributes your AFX winnings to your wallet within seconds. No delays, no intermediaries.
Can I withdraw my winnings?
+
Yes, your AFX winnings are yours to keep. You can hold them, trade them on DEX platforms, stake them for rewards, or use them to enter more tournaments.
Is there a minimum prize pool?
+
No minimum—prizes scale with participation. A 2v2 match ($20 pool) and a 100-player tournament ($500 pool) both work the same way with proportional rewards.
Tokens & Cryptocurrency
Do I need crypto experience?
+
No experience necessary! ArenaFlux is designed for competitive gamers first. We'll provide step-by-step guides for buying AFX, setting up wallets, and joining tournaments. Our support team is available to help.
How do I buy AFX tokens?
+
Once AFX launches, you'll be able to purchase tokens on decentralized exchanges (DEX) like Uniswap, or through our platform's secure swap portal. You'll need ETH or another supported cryptocurrency to trade for AFX.
Is AFX a security or utility token?
+
AFX is a utility token. It's designed for tournament entry, governance participation, and staking—not as an investment vehicle. Always do your own research before purchasing any cryptocurrency.
Can I stake AFX for rewards?
+
Yes! Future versions will support staking, allowing you to earn passive yield from tournament fees. Details on staking mechanics will be announced closer to launch.
What's the total AFX supply?
+
1 billion AFX tokens. 40% goes to player rewards, 25% development, 15% liquidity, 10% marketing, and 10% advisors/team (with vesting). See our tokenomics page for full details.
Responsible Gaming
Is ArenaFlux gambling?
+
ArenaFlux enables skill-based competition with real stakes—similar to poker tournaments or esports prize pools. Outcomes are determined by player skill, not chance. However, we recommend playing responsibly and never staking more than you can afford to lose.
Are there age restrictions?
+
Yes. Users must be 18+ to participate in AFX tournaments. We verify age during account creation and have responsible gaming features to support player well-being.
Do you have responsible gaming features?
+
Yes. Players can set spending limits, take breaks, and access support resources. We're committed to sustainable, healthy competitive gaming and provide tools to prevent problem gambling.
Is ArenaFlux a conceptual project?
+
Yes, ArenaFlux is a conceptual project. Always do your own research (DYOR) before purchasing AFX tokens or participating in tournaments. Review the whitepaper and roadmap for full details on our vision and timeline.
